Your challenge
Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we’re looking for?
This is your opportunity to help Philips Lighting to engage and activate its thousands of employees through communications. Your work will have an impact all over the globe whilst working within the global Executive and Employee Communications team.
Your challenge is to engage and activate all our employees through various campaigns, channels and activities. This will give you the unique chance to develop your digital experience, communications skills and your business knowledge.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the editorial calendar and driving creation of mass mail
Monitoring and ‘community management’ of our social collaboration platform
Managing our global internal channels
Supporting campaigns and projects, such as: CSR, culture and brand
Creating content
Supporting and driving the migration of content to our platforms
Driving online engagement and activation among our employees through various projects
Your team
The Philips Lighting Executive and Employee communications team, consisting of nine professionals, is a strategic business partner as well as a support function to the leadership team, businesses, market groups and functions. Together with a global network of communications professionals, we support the Lighting leaders in their role to cascade strategic messages throughout the Lighting organization in order to engage employees with the strategy and to sustain a dialogue-oriented culture.
Our offer
You will have the chance to work in an international environment with multiple stakeholders, learning about the many aspects of communications at large. You will get your own responsibilities and get the opportunity to work on various campaigns and projects.
Duration: 5-6 months (with a possibility of extension)
Available per September 2017 (or earlier)
Thesis: can be discussed


To be successful at this internship we are looking for:
Currently studying towards your HBO Bachelor / Bachelor of Science / Master of science WO in: Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or other related studies
Excellent written and verbal English skills
Experience with digital platforms and knowledge of the latest communications trends
Affinity with Social Media
Knowledge working with a content management tool
Content creation
Knowledge of Photoshop is not mandatory but is considered a plus
Previous internship experience is considered a plus

Internship conditions:
You will receive an internship allowance; the exact amount depends on your situation. (also towards rented accommodation or public transport
The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
