Dutch Native – Social Media Intern

Description

Our local community managers are ambassadors for their country’s social media communities within the EMEA social media team. Stationed in Amsterdam, the local community manager actively manages their country’s TomTom social media communities on a daily basis. You are the voice of TomTom to our millions of engaged users. You ensure that the community is helped, feels heard, entertained, informed and more than anything else, feels part of the TomTom brand story. You have to feel like an integral part of the local TomTom team located in your home country, and bring their spirit and passion to bear in your daily work.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the day to day engagement (reactive and pro-active) on multiple social media platforms for your native country for both of our consumer brands (Sports & Drive)
Ambassador of your country within the EMEA social media team.
Bring your local TomTom team’s passion to life across all our local social media platforms
Responsible for the development of local online communities on our paid and owned social and online platforms;
Assist in the implementation and creation of localized social media marketing campaigns and with the analysis of social media metrics and identification of influencers;
Hero TomTom’s efforts in your local markets – ranging from events we host to the personal achievements of our team members
Be aware of interesting (local) online trends, memes or hypes (in your home/local market) and find ways to make them relevant for your social platforms. Either by involving the right stakeholders or by creating content of your own.
Working closely with the (country) local marketers and sales managers to ensure all content and campaigns are translated with local relevance and are closely linked with the local
Aid in the development of social media reporting standards and identifying key metrics.

Profile

What do we expect from you?
To be a successful Social Media engager, this is the kind of profile we have in mind:
Bachelor/Master in Marketing, Communications/PR, Interactive Media, Information Technology, International Business, or a related discipline;
You are a native Dutch speaker, with flawless written communication skills in your native language and with good verbal and written English skills;
You are a team player with a dynamic, outgoing personality, and an affinity for technology;
You possess excellent computer skills with an interest in online and social media trends;
You have a proven passion for social media, creating content, and cultivating fan engagement and growth and you are familiar with all social media platforms and best practices;
You have lived in your home country extenesively until very recently (we expect you to be, and stay, completely in the loop on what’s hot on social media in your country)
You should only apply if you are an EU citizen due to working permit regulations.
